Embodying Biotensegrity in Active Practice

October 22nd 2017 (Sunday)

How do we tread lightly and move with ease? Is it possible to find freedom and joy of movement?

Biotensegrity: Tensegrity is an architectural term derived from two words: ‘tension’ & ‘integrity’. When we place the prefix ‘bio’ at the front, it relates to ‘right tension & integrity’ in the body.

Biotensegrity is an understanding of the body as a whole where each individual movement is interconnected to the whole. Applying the principles of biotensegrity to our yoga practice transforms our movement inviting less tension and more ease.
